As a top ranking supplier FRIMO has been awarded 5 times the SPE for „Body Interior“ applications in the categories mold maker and machine producer. With two 1st places, the participation at the Innovation Award and two further prices the company can continue its SPE success story in 2009. FRIMO companies have been awarded the SPE, also referred to as “Plastic Oscars”, for the sixth time (2007, 2004, 2001, 1998, 1995) and are proud to own 15 Awards altogether.
During the 12th Automotive Division Award Night the most innovative and creative solutions in the automotive and its supply industry were rewarded. In the categories Body Interior, Exterior and Power Train the jury assessed the innovative use of plastics in the design, manufacture and processing of automotive components. As a partner to Johnson Controls FRIMO stands out with innovative mold and machinery solutions to produce door and side panels as well as instrument panels for the BMW Mini, Mercedes Benz E-class and GLK-class models.
The highest possible Innovation Award went to BMW for a completely new designed knee airbag system. FRIMO participated with a specially developed tooling concept.
